Transforming Rural Potential into Opportunity

Enterprising Bharat is powered by CII–Young Indians (Yi) and Grameena Incubation Centre (GIC), two organizations united by a shared vision of empowering India’s next generation of entrepreneurs. While Yi brings together a dynamic network of young leaders driving innovation and nation-building, GIC focuses

on nurturing rural and peri-urban startups that hold the key to inclusive growth. Together, they anchor Enterprising Bharat as a transformative platform that bridges ecosystems, inspires collaboration, and unlocks the immense potential of building for the next billion.

How this started

Enterprising Bharat began with a simple belief: India’s next wave of growth lies in its villages and small towns. What started as a conversation between young leaders of CII–Yi and the Grameena Incubation Centre has now grown into a platform that celebrates ideas, enterprises, and collaborations emerging from rural and peri-urban India. The event was envisioned to connect this untapped potential with markets, mentors, and policymakers—bridging the gap between aspiration and opportunity.

A movement of 5,000+ members and 25,000 students across 68 chapters, Yi inspires and empowers young leaders to drive entrepreneurship, leadership, and nation-building, giving India’s youth a platform to shape the country’s growth story.

Grameena Incubation Centre

GIC, founded by Bhagavatula Charitable Trust, nurtures entrepreneurs building for rural and peri-urban India, offering mentorship, resources, and support tackling challenges in agriculture, livelihoods, healthcare, education, and sustainability.
